The Independence Day Parade is one of the most fun summer events in Lakewood. If you have never marched, but always wanted to join the fun, this is your chance. All are invited to walk to show support for electing Brad Presutto as our next Ward 2 representative to the Lakewood City Council. You don’t have to live in Lakewood or in Ward 2 to walk with us!
The parade route has changed this year. The parade will be starting at Nicholson Avenue, and head west ending at Lakewood Park.
If you are not sure where to go, we will be meeting at 9 a.m. in the parking lot of the Gray Dog Diner, located at 13411 Detroit Ave and then walking to our spot in the parade.
Remember, parking may be limited!
If you can’t meet us at 9 a.m., come anytime before the parade starts. A Parade Volunteer can tell you where to go. Just let them know you are walking with Brad Presutto for Ward 2!
The campaign will supply you with a T-shirt, water & snacks along with candy and seed bombs to pass out to parade-watchers. We will have a truck and possibly another vehicle if you need to ride. Feel welcome to ride a bike, scooter, bring kids in a wagon, or even walk with your dog. Just remember, kids riding a bike in the parade must wear a bike helmet. We will have some decorations for whatever mode of transportation you may choose, but you are welcome to decorate before you arrive to the parade.
We hope you can join us on the parade route. But if you have to sit this one out, we hope you will cheer us on and show your support for Brad!
